Sandnes pattern
From 2024, Sandnes Garn is making changes to its range of patterns. Printed booklets containing multiple patterns will no longer be produced, and patterns will now be sold individually. When you purchase a pattern from us in the new format, it will be printed on A4-sized 120 gsm paper with double-sided printing.
The same terms and conditions will continue to apply: patterns are sold only together with yarn for the project shown in the pattern, either in the suggested yarn or one of Sandnes Garn's yarn alternatives. Orders for patterns without a simultaneous purchase of yarn will be automatically cancelled without any feedback to you as the customer.
Sandnes Garn is one of Norway's oldest wool spinning mills. The company was founded in 1888 and is today the only yarn company in Norway that still keeps the entire manufacturing process on site. Here, the wool arrives freshly shorn and untreated; it is washed, carded, dyed, spun and wound into skeins. Cotton, merino and alpaca wool are imported and arrive untreated on spools, and are dyed, spun and wound into skeins at the factory.
Design and pattern construction are very close to Sandnes' hearts. They have a large range of classic Norwegian patterns, which they keep up to date and in line with today's fashions.
They also design modern patterns for both women and men. In addition, they have a large range of patterns for children and babies.
We still have quite a few of Sandnes' older pattern booklets, which you can also find among the patterns below.
We are happy to help with tips and advice, and if you get "stuck", just give us a shout or come into the shop!
Booklets are sold only together with yarn for at least one model in the booklet; see the requirements in the respective booklet. Orders for booklets only will be cancelled without notification; see our terms and conditions for further details.
