The Vega Sweater is knitted from the top down. First, the top part of the back is knitted with short rows and increases. The shoulder sections are then knitted from stitches picked up along the top of the back piece. Stitches are then picked up along the shoulder sections, and the rest of the yoke is knitted in the round on circular needles. The body is knitted in the round on circular needles, and the sleeves are knitted in the round on double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop technique. Finally, a neckline edge is knitted from stitches picked up around the neckline—first in double knit and then in double ribbing.
Size Guide
The Vega Sweater should have approximately 22 cm of room to move (positive ease) relative to your bust measurement. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement (measured around the body) of 75–80 (80–85) 85–90 (90–95) 95–100 (100–110) 110–120 (120–130) 130–140 (140–150) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern (note that these measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained). Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will suit you best. For example, if your bust (or the widest part of your body) measures 90 cm around, you should knit a size S. A size S sweater has a width of 112 cm and will provide 22 cm of room to move (positive ease) in the example above.
