Structure Scarf

The Structure Scarf is knitted partly in two-colour brioche and partly in ribbing. The stitch count is changed at the transitions between the sections and the two techniques, so that the same gauge is maintained throughout the piece. The scarf is knitted from the centre outwards to the sides so that it can be finished in the same way at both ends. The ends are finished with brioche decreases and a braided I-cord with a pompom.
Knit a gauge swatch before you start knitting to find the stitch counts that give you the correct gauge. The main thing is to achieve the same gauge for both the ribbing and the brioche knitting, so that the scarf has the same width all the way.
