Lumen Cardigan
The cardigan is knitted from the top down in half stockinette stitch using Thin Peer Gynt and Thin Silk Mohair.
First, stitches are cast on for the back piece, which is knitted back and forth with purl rows to create a dropped shoulder. The back piece is knitted down below the arms with increases for the armholes. Stitches are then cast on for the front pieces, which are knitted separately with increases for the V-neck and armholes. The work is then placed on a circular needle and knitted back and forth with increases on the front pieces, before the work is finished with ribbing. Stitches are picked up for the sleeves, which are knitted in the round. The sleeves are finished with decreases and ribbing.
Double-knit I-cord and edging are knitted along the front edges and neck at the end. A buttonhole is made on the side and a loop on the inside of the cardigan, so that it fits well.
The entire cardigan is knitted with 1 thread of each quality.
Half stockinette stitch grows a little in the wash. Wash the cardigan and lay it flat according to the specified measurements to get the right fit.
