The Petra Polo is knitted from the top down. First, the upper part of the back is knitted with increases. Then the shoulder sections are knitted from stitches picked up along the top of the back piece. Stitches are then picked up along the edges of the shoulder sections so that all the yoke stitches are now on the circular needles and can be knitted back and forth. First with sleeve increases and later with raglan increases. The button bands are knitted in double knitting from stitches picked up before the body is knitted in the round on the circular needles. The sleeves are knitted in the round on double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop technique and can be knitted either short or long. Finally, the collar is knitted in tight ribbing. The Petra Polo fastens with three buttons.

Make a gauge swatch to find the needle size that gives you the correct gauge. Wash the gauge swatch before measuring.

Size Guide

The Petra Polo should have a movement allowance (positive ease) of approximately 2 cm. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement (measured directly on the body) of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished blouse are given on the front of the pattern. Note: These measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit you best. If you, for example, measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A blouse in size S has a chest width of 92 cm and will give the mentioned positive ease (positive ease) of 2 cm in the example above. If you, for example, have broad shoulders but a small bust measurement, you can go up a size. Let yourself be guided by which size you would normally buy a blouse in. You can also measure a well-fitting blouse in your wardrobe and choose the size in the pattern that best matches those measurements. A measurement list is available here.
