Novice Sweater

The Novice Sweater is knitted from the top down. This means you start by knitting the neckline, then the yoke, then the body, and finally the sleeves. The sweater is knitted in stockinette stitch, while the edges are knitted in ribbing. 

The Novice Sweater has a round yoke. It is shaped by gradually knitting increases in four rounds evenly distributed around the yoke.

Note that you can only rely on the measurements in the description if you have the same gauge.

The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust measurement of around 80–85 (85–90) 90–95 (95–100) 100–110 (110–120) 120–130 (130–140) 140–150 cm. The Novice Sweater should have a positive ease of 5–10 cm. This means that if you, for example, measure 90 cm around the bust (measure yourself with a tape measure), you should knit size S, which has a width of 98 cm.

Recommended needles:  Circular needles 5.5 and 6 mm (40 and 80 or 100 cm), double-pointed needles 5.5 mm (if you are not knitting the sleeves using the Magic Loop technique)
