Novice Slipover Man is knitted from the top down in stockinette stitch. First, the back piece is knitted, and then stitches are picked up along the cast-on edge of the back piece to shape the shoulders, which are then joined at the front to knit the front piece. The back and front pieces are then joined under the armhole to shape the body, which is knitted in the round on circular needles. Finally, ribbing is knitted along the neckline and armholes. Size Guide
Novice Slipover Man should have a positive ease of approx. 10 cm relative to your bust measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust measurement of 86-91 (91-96) 96-101 (101-107) 107-113 (113-119) 119-124 (124-132) 132-144 cm. The measurements of the finished slipover are given on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will suit you best. If you, for example, measure 101 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size L. A slipover in size L has a width of 111 cm and will, in the stated example, provide a positive ease of 10 cm.
