The Ruta sock is the perfect sock for you if you often fall for beautiful skeins of mini-skeins of sock yarn from our fantastic hand-dyers, or for you if you have a nice stash of sock yarn leftovers in different colors.
The Ruta sock is knitted from the cuff to the toe with a toe gusset in two or as many colors as you wish!
The description is designed for the Magic Loop technique, but can of course also be knitted with five sock needles if desired.
Gauge
34 stitches and 40 rows = 10*10 cm after blocking.
Gauge achieved on 2.25 - 3.0mm needles depending on tension. It is crucial for the result that the gauge is correct.
Size
Circumference of foot and cuff: XS, (S), M, (L): approx. 16.5cm (19cm), 21cm, (23.5cm).
The length of the foot is adjustable.
For the best fit, the sock should be knitted 0.5 - 2 cm narrower than the circumference of the foot.
