SOCKAN HEMESTER
Hemester Socks
Sockan Hemester was created during the summer of 2020, the year of the coronavirus and travel restrictions when we all had to think about how we traveled and who we met and how. Many of us chose Hemester — to vacation at home and discover the hidden gems close to home.
Sockan Hemester's three small pattern borders are inspired by our Swedish nature with waves, leaves and the highly coveted sunbeams.
Sockan is knitted from the cuff down to the toe with two or up to four colors. You choose whether you want to knit the pattern borders of the sock cuff uniformly in the same color or whether you want to knit the pattern borders in different colors. With Sockan Hemester, you have the opportunity to use those small leftovers of just a few grams of sock yarn that are left over. And if you wish, you can also knit the cuff, heel and toe in a contrasting color.
The description is designed for the Magic Loop technique, but can of course also be knitted with five sock needles if desired.
