The Eva Cardigan is knitted from the top down. First, the top part of the back is knitted with increases, after which the shoulders are knitted from stitches picked up along the top of the back piece. Stitches are then picked up along the shoulders, and the rest of the yoke is knitted in the round, while increases are worked at the front to create a V-neckline. The body is knitted back and forth in the round, and the sleeves are knitted in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up along the front edges to knit a wide button band in double ribbing.
Size Guide
The Eva Cardigan should have a positive ease of approximately 26 cm in the smallest sizes, gradually decreasing in the larger sizes. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement, measured around the body, of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished cardigan are given on the front of the pattern. Note: These measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit you best. If you, for example, measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A cardigan in size S has a width across the chest of 116 cm and will, in the above example, provide a positive ease of 26 cm.
