Storm Sweater
Couldn't load pickup availability
Storm Sweater is knitted from the top down in textured stitches. First, the back is knitted using short rows to create a shoulder slope. Then, stitches are picked up at the shoulders and joined at the front to continue knitting the front piece. The front piece and back are then joined under the armhole and continue down the body, which is knitted straight down. The sleeves are knitted in the round on double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop technique. A ribbed edge is knitted at the neck, folded over and knitted down. Storm Sweater is knitted in textured stitches consisting of four different pattern sections.
Make a gauge swatch before you start knitting to check the gauge. Note that the gauge must match both in height and width for the measurements given on the front to be accurate. You can make a gauge swatch following the charts in the pattern.
Size Guide
Storm Sweater should have a positive ease of approximately 26 cm in the smallest sizes, gradually decreasing in the larger sizes. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement, measured around the body, of 75–80 (80–85) 85–90 (90–95) 95–100 (100–110) 110–120 (120–130) 130–140 (140–150) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern. Note that these measurements are only accurate if the gauge is maintained. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will suit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A size S sweater has a width of 116 cm and will provide a positive ease of 26 cm in the example above.
