This knitting pattern is in Swedish.
The Ingrid Sweater is knitted from the top down in textured stitches. First, the back is knitted, using short rows to shape the shoulder slope. Next, stitches are picked up for the shoulder sections, which are also knitted in short rows to shape the shoulder slope. The shoulder sections are then joined at the front to knit the front piece. The front and back pieces are then joined under the armhole to knit the body, which is knitted straight down. The sleeves are knitted in the round from the stitches picked up in the armhole. The Ingrid Sweater is knitted in textured stitches consisting of three different pattern sections. Between each of these, a section of lace pattern is knitted. Make a gauge swatch before you start knitting to measure the gauge? Note that the gauge must be correct in both height and width for the measurements given on the front to be accurate.
Size Guide
The Ingrid Sweater should have a positive ease of approx. 20 cm relative to your bust measurement. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust measurement, measured around the body, of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will suit you best. If you, for example, measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A sweater in size S has a width of 112 cm and will, in the stated example, provide a positive ease of 22 cm.
