Terrazzo Neck

This knitting pattern is in Swedish.

Terrazzo Neck is knitted from the back piece up towards the shoulders and down over the front piece. A neck opening is knitted, where stitches are picked up to create the polo collar. Terrazzo Neck is shaped like a square at the back and like a parallel trapezoid at the front.

The pattern uses Italian cast-on and Italian bind-off techniques.

First, knit a gauge swatch to find the needle size that gives you the correct gauge. Wash the gauge swatch before measuring the gauge.

Sizes: XS/S (M/L)

Measurements: Length: 42 (45) cm (without polo collar), shoulder width: approx. 40 (42) cm

Gauge: 17 stitches x 24 rows in stockinette stitch on 4.5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm after washing and blocking

20-22 stitches x 24 rows in ribbing (1 purl, 1 knit) on 4.5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm after washing and blocking (gauge for the polo collar)

Knitting needles: 4.5 mm circular needles (40 cm and 60 cm or 80 cm)

Materials: 250 (250) g Alpaca Wool from Sandnes Garn knitted together with 50-75 (75) g Silk Mohair from Lana Grossa (25 g = 210 m) or Thin Silk Mohair from Sandnes Garn (25 g = 212 m).
