September Slipover

This knitting pattern is in Swedish.
The September Slipover is knitted from the top down in brioche stitch. First, the back is knitted by casting on stitches at the neck and knitting back and forth on needles with increases at each end. Next, stitches are picked up for the shoulder sections, which are first knitted separately before being joined at the front to knit the front piece. Under the armholes, the back piece and front piece are joined to form the body, which is knitted in the round on circular needles. Finally, stitches are picked up at the armholes and around the neckline to knit the ribbed edges.
Make a gauge swatch before you start to find the needle size that gives you the correct gauge. Please note that it is difficult to measure brioche stitch as it is elastic, so measure several times.
There is a video demonstrating the brioche stitch technique on www.petiteknit.com.
Size Guide
The September Slipover should have a positive ease of approximately 10 cm. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust measurement of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The measurements of the finished slipover are given on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size suits you best. If you, for example, measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A size S slipover has a width of 100 cm and will provide a positive ease of 10 cm in the example above.
