Balloon sweater

This knitting pattern is in Swedish.
The Balloon Sweater has balloon sleeves that start low on the shoulders and are defined by a snug ribbing at the wrist. The Balloon Sweater is knitted from the top down. At the beginning of the yoke, shoulder increases are worked at the same time as short rows to shape the neckline. The front and back pieces are then knitted separately (back and forth in stockinette stitch). Under the armholes, the pieces are joined and the rest of the body is knitted in the round on circular needles. Stitches are picked up for the sleeves, which are also knitted in the round on circular needles and finally on double-pointed needles (or using the Magic Loop technique). The Balloon Sweater is free from assembly, except for weaving in the yarn ends.
Make a gauge swatch before you start. Remember to wash and block the gauge swatch to see if the gauge changes after washing.
Size Guide
The Balloon Sweater should have a positive ease of around 10–15 cm relative to your bust measurement. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) correspond to a body bust measurement of 80–85 (85–90) 90–95 (95–100) 100–110 (110–120) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern (note that these measurements will only be accurate if the gauge is followed. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size suits you best. For example, if your bust (or the widest part of your body) measures 90 cm, you should knit size S.
A size S sweater has a width of 101 cm and, in the example above, will provide a positive ease of 11 cm.
