This knitting pattern is in Swedish.
The September hat is knitted in the round on circular needles in brioche stitch from the bottom up to the top. Italian cast-on is used for the hat to create a beautiful edge. Decreases are worked at the top of the hat. Please note that it is knitted with one strand of Tunn and two strands of Tynn Silk Mohair (or another yarn that gives the correct gauge).
Also note that when knitting brioche stitch on circular needles, the brioche stitches on every other row will be knitted as knit stitches and every other row as purl stitches. There are videos of the techniques used in the pattern at www.petiteknit.com.
If the gauge is followed, the width of the hat is 23 (23) cm when laid flat and gently pressed out to the sides.
Sizes: Fits head circumference 54 -56 (56 - 58) cm
Gauge: 12 stitches x 38 rows in brioche stitch on 4.5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm (measure the gauge while gently pressing and stretching the gauge swatch to the sides)
Knitting suggestions: Circular needles 4.5 mm (40 cm), double-pointed needles 4.5 mm (if not knitting with the Magic Loop technique)
