The model is a straight piece with gussets of stockinette stitch on the sides, and there should be no decreases or increases.
Knit back and forth over the same stitches.
The vest is knitted in reverse stockinette - i.e. knit on the wrong side and purl on the right side. There are ribbed edges at the top and bottom, knitted with a special form of edge stitches.
When you are finished, there is minimal sewing on the shoulders.
