We are delighted to tell you about our new collaboration with Vendela Kirsebom, which has resulted in a sweater and jacket in 6 different color combinations. Both garments are knitted in ALPACKA.
Vendela has invested both creative energy and a piece of her personal history into the garments. The pattern borders are inspired by the ancient cross-cultural symbol of a hand - like a knitted chain of luck, protection, love and strength. The symbol reminds Vendela of her father, who gave her a piece of jewelry with this hand when they met for the first time, in his home country Turkey a few years ago. "He said it would protect me, and I want to pass this gift on. For me, the sweater is a tribute to women who take on the world with their arms wide open, guided by their hearts" says Vendela. She has already graced the cover of French Vogue, posed in a shimmering silver swimsuit on the cover of Sports Illustrated and had an international supermodel career. Now Sandnes Garn has invited Vendela to the French Riviera, where she brings timeless beauty, a quarter century of modeling experience and one or two Bardot tricks. There she shows how we wear the garments just as well in the summer as the rest of the year.
The pattern is only sold together with yarn according to the list!
