The pattern is only sold together with Sandnes Tunn Silkmohair in the quantities per yarn specified below.
The Greenland sweater, or Eskimo sweater as it is also called, was designed by Unn Søyland for Sandnes Garn in 1952.
Several generations have, in other words, both knitted and worn this sweater.
Now we have updated the design and adapted the pattern for double-stranded TUNN SILKMOHAIR, and the result is super cool!
The sweater is knitted in double strand. The sleeves, front and back pieces are knitted from the bottom up. From under the sleeves, the pieces are knitted together. The pattern is knitted in stockinette stitch according to the chart and joined together to form the yoke. To shape a deeper neckline at the front, the double-pointed needles are knitted with GSR. The neckline is knitted last.
The pattern is in Norwegian.
