First, cast on stitches for the back piece, where the right and left shoulders are shaped separately with turn rows. The back piece is knitted back and forth down to under the arms. Next, cast on stitches along the shoulders on the left and right sides of the front piece. The shoulders are shaped with turn rows and stitches are cast on towards the neck. The front pieces are knitted together when it is long enough to allow for the zipper. From under the arms, the front and back pieces are knitted together to full length, before being finished with ribbing. Stitches are cast on around each armhole for the sleeves. The sleeves are knitted in the round to full length and finished with ribbing. The neckline is finally knitted in ribbing back and forth. Turn rows are knitted on the left and right sides of the neckline, so that it is higher at the front than at the back. It is folded down towards the wrong side and knitted back and forth with decreases over the front edge to follow the
deeper neckline. Stitches are cast on along the sides of the front pieces where the zipper is to be attached. The zipper is finally sewn in.
