Marie Clutch

The Marie Clutch is knitted in one piece from the bottom up. First, the bottom section is knitted in double knitting. Then, stitches are picked up along all sides of the bottom, and the sides of the clutch are knitted in slip stitch (Garter Slip Stitch in English). The top of the clutch is knitted by first knitting the two ends of the zipper in double knitting. Then, the two panels on either side of the zipper are knitted. Finally, the zipper is sewn in with a needle and thread, and then the lining is sewn into the clutch (by machine or by hand). The pattern also includes guidance for sewing the lining.

Materials: Approx. 34 (70) g Pelsuld 8/2 from Hjelholts Uldspinderi (100 g = 400 m) or approx. 50 (100) g Jensen from Isager (50 g = 125 m) knitted together with approx. 16 (31) g Brushed Lace from Mohair by Canard (25 g = 210 m) or approx. 15 (29) g Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive (25 g = 225 m) or approx. 16 (31) g Silk Mohair from Isager (25 g = 212 m).

4 mm zipper, 17 (23) cm. Fabric for lining, 25 x 36 cm (33 x 52 cm).
