Maggie Vest

The Maggie Vest is knitted from the top down. First, the back is knitted with increases. Then, stitches are picked up for the shoulder areas at the top of the back, and the shoulders are knitted back and forth with decreases and increases. The shoulder areas and back piece are then joined under the armholes to continue with the body, which is knitted back and forth on circular needles. An elasticated edge is knitted along the armholes. Finally, button bands are knitted along the front edges and along the neckline.

Size Guide

The Maggie Vest should have a positive ease of approximately 5 cm. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement, measured on the body, of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished vest are given on the front of the pattern. Note: These measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit you best. If you, for example, measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A vest in size S has a width of 96 cm and will, in the above example, provide a positive ease of 6 cm.
