Maggie Cardigan

The Maggie Cardigan is knitted from the top down. First, the top part of the back is knitted with increases. Then the shoulder sections are knitted out from the stitches picked up at the top of the back piece. Stitches are then picked up along the shoulder sections, and the rest of the yoke and body are knitted back and forth on circular needles. The sleeves are knitted in the round on double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop technique. Finally, button bands are knitted along the front edges and around the neckline.
Make a gauge swatch to find the needle size that gives you the correct gauge.
Size Guide
The Maggie Cardigan should have positive ease of approximately 5 cm. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished cardigan are given on the front of the pattern. Note: These measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit you best. If you, for example, measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A cardigan in size S has a chest width of 96 cm and will give positive ease of 6 cm in the example above.
