Lulu Slipover Junior

The Lulu Slipover Junior is knitted from the top down. The slipover has a deep armhole and fastens at the sides with two buttons. The back is knitted first, followed by the front piece. Ribbing is knitted along the armhole, and garter stitch edges along the sides, forming a split at the bottom. Two buttonholes are knitted into the front of these garter stitch edges. Finally, a ribbed neckline is knitted.

Size Guide

The Lulu Slipover Junior should have approximately 20 cm of positive ease relative to the bust measurement. Sizes 1-2 (2-3) 3-4 (4-5) 5-6 (6-7) 7-8 (8-9) 9-10 (10-11) 11-12 (12-14) years correspond to a bust measurement of approximately 53 (54) 56 (57) 59 (62) 64 (68) 72 (75) 78 (82) cm. The measurements of the finished slipover are given on the front of the pattern (note that these measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained). If the child, for example, measures 57 cm around the chest, you should knit a size 4-5 years. A slipover in size 4-5 years has a width of 77 cm and will therefore provide 20 cm of positive ease in the above example. If the measured bust measurement deviates from the age guide, you should be mindful to adjust the length to the person you are knitting for. The same applies if the child is shorter/taller than average.
