Key Cardigan Junior

Key Cardigan Junior is knitted from the top down with raglan increases. The neckline is shaped using short rows. The yoke and body are knitted back and forth on circular needles, and the sleeves are knitted in the round. Finally, button bands are knitted along the front edges and around the neckline. A two-colour striped pattern is knitted throughout the cardigan.

Size guide

Key Cardigan Junior should have a positive ease of approx. 25 cm compared to the bust measurement. Sizes 1-2 (2-3) 3-4 (4-5) 5-6 (6-7) 7-8 (8-9) 9-10 (10-11) 11-12 years correspond to a bust measurement of approximately 53 (54) 56 (57) 59 (62) 64 (68) 72 (75) 78 cm. The measurements of the finished cardigan are given on the front of the pattern (note that these measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained). If the child, for example, measures 59 cm around the chest, you should knit a size 5-6 years. A cardigan in size 5-6 years has a width of 84 cm and will give a positive ease of 25 cm in the above example. If the measured bust measurement deviates from the age guide, you should be mindful to adjust the length to the person you are knitting for. The same applies if the child is shorter/taller than average.
