Ivy Cardigan

The Ivy Cardigan is knitted from the top down in one piece, back and forth on the needles. The yoke is constructed by first knitting shoulder increases, then sleeve increases, and finally raglan increases. The sleeves are knitted in the round on double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop technique. Finally, stitches are picked up along the front edges and around the neckline to create button bands.

Size Guide

The Ivy Cardigan should have approximately 2 cm of movement allowance (positive ease) relative to your bust measurement. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100 110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished cardigan are given on the front of the pattern (Note that these measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained). Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will suit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A cardigan in size S has a width of 92 cm and will provide 2 cm of movement allowance (positive ease) in the above example. Size chart available here.
