Ingrid Sweater Junior is knitted from the top down in textured stitch. First, the back is knitted using short rows to shape the shoulder slope. Then, stitches are picked up for the shoulder sections, which are then joined at the front to knit the front piece. The front piece and back are then joined under the armhole to knit the body, which is knitted straight down. The sleeves are knitted in the round on double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop technique. A ribbed edge is knitted at the neck, which is folded in half and knitted down. Ingrid Sweater Junior is knitted in textured stitch, which consists of three different pattern sections. Between each of these, a section of lace pattern is knitted. Make a gauge swatch before you start knitting to measure the gauge – note that the gauge in both height and width must match for the dimensions given on the front to be correct.
