The Hannah Jacket is knitted from the top down. First, the back is knitted back and forth on the needles with increases. The shoulder sections and front pieces are then knitted from stitches picked up in the back. The different pieces are then joined together and the body is knitted back and forth on the circular needles. The sleeves are knitted from stitches picked up in the armhole. Stitches are picked up along the neckline and a neckband is knitted in double ribbing. Finally, stitches are picked up along the front edges to create button bands. The button bands are knitted in double knitting with buttonholes along the right button band.
Make a gauge swatch to find the needle size that gives you the correct gauge. Wash the gauge swatch before measuring.
Size Guide
The Hannah Jacket should have a positive ease of approx. 35 cm in the smallest sizes, but gradually less in the larger sizes. The sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished jacket are given on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting to find the size that will fit you best. If you, for example, measure 95 cm around the bust (or the widest part of the body), you should knit a size M. A jacket in size M has a width of 131 cm and will give a positive ease (positive ease) of 36 cm in the above example. A measurement list is available here.
