The Dagmar Sweater Man is knitted from the top down in textured stitches. First, the back is knitted, then the shoulder sections are knitted outwards from the stitches picked up along the top of the back piece. The body is knitted in the round on circular needles. The sleeves are knitted in the round on circular needles from the stitches picked up in the armhole. Finally, a ribbed edge is knitted around the neck.
Make a gauge swatch to find the needle size that gives you the correct gauge. You can make a gauge swatch following the chart in the pattern.
Size Guide
The Dagmar Sweater Man should have approximately 20 cm of room to move (positive ease). Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust measurement of 86-91 (91-96) 96-101 (101-107) 107-113 (113-119) 119-124 (124 132) 132-144 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit you best. If you measure, for example, 105 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit size L. A sweater in size L has a width of 125 cm and will give the mentioned example 20 cm of room to move (positive ease). A measurement chart is available here.
