The pattern was developed in collaboration with the Red Cross. All proceeds from the sale of Cross Set go to the Red Cross.
Cross Set consists of a hat and mittens. Both the hat and mittens have a striped ribbed edge and a cross border. The hat is knitted from the bottom up. The mittens are knitted from the wrist towards the fingertips. The thumb is knitted last.
Sizes: 2-4 years (4-7 years) S (M) L
Measurements: Fits head circumference: 50-52 (52-54) 54-56 (56-59) 59-63 cm
Length of mitten: 16 (21) 26 (27) 29 cm
Gauge: 22 stitches x 34 rows in pattern and stockinette stitch on 3.5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm
Needle suggestions: 3 mm and 3.5 mm circular needles (80 cm) if you knit with the Magic Loop technique, or 3 mm and 3.5 mm double-pointed needles if you knit with double-pointed needles
Materials: 4 different colours of Double Sunday from Sandnes Garn (50 g = 108 m) or Peer Gynt from Sandnes Garn (50 g = 91 m)
Colour 1 (pattern colour and edges): approx. 38 (46) 50 (56) 60 g for the hat and approx. 8 (10) 15 (18) 22 g for the mittens
Colour 2 (cross): approx. 10 (12) 14 (16) 18 g for the hat and approx. 5 (6) 7 (8) 9 g for the mittens
Colour 3 (background colour): approx. 18 (22) 24 (26) 28 g for the hat and approx. 18 (30) 50 (58) 66 g for the mittens
