The pattern was developed in collaboration with the Red Cross. All proceeds from the sale of Cross Cardigan Baby go to the Red Cross. The pattern can only be purchased directly from PetiteKnit, not from us.
Cross Cardigan Baby is knitted from the top down. A cross border is knitted at the yoke and along the edges of the sleeves and at the bottom of the body. First, the top part of the back is knitted back and forth, then the shoulder sections are knitted back and forth separately on the circular needles. The shoulder sections and back are then joined to continue with the body, which is knitted back and forth on the circular needles. The sleeves are knitted from the outside in from the stitches picked up along the armhole. Finally, button bands and a ribbed neckline are knitted.
