Loui Slipover Junior is a practical and timeless garment that works just as well over a shirt or thin sweater as it does on its own. The slipover is knitted from the top down in half-stockinette and knitted in Duo – a durable and comfortable quality for children.
The slipover is knitted from the top down in half-stockinette. First, the back piece is knitted back and forth down to the armhole, and then each side of the front pieces is knitted separately with turning rows and increases for the neckline, before the front piece is knitted down to the armholes. After the armholes, the front and back pieces are joined. The top is knitted up to the arm edges and neck edge at the end.
Half-stockinette grows a bit in the wash, so it is a good idea to knit and wash a test swatch before you start knitting the garment. It is important that this garment is washed and left to dry according to the measurements before it is used. This is so that the garment will have the intended fit.
