First, stitches are cast on for the back piece, which is knitted back and forth with turning rows to create dropped shoulders, before being knitted down below the armholes. Next, stitches are picked up along each shoulder on the left and right sides of the front piece. Stitches are cast on between the front pieces before the entire front piece is knitted back and forth down below the armholes. The front piece is then joined with the back piece, and the work is knitted in the round to full length. Stitches are picked up around the armholes to knit the sleeves. The sleeves are knitted in the round and finished with a thicker needle to add a little width. Finally, the neckline is knitted.
