The sweater is knitted from the top down in a striped pattern with Sunday.
First, the back is knitted back and forth with double-pointed needles, and then down to below the sleeves. To ensure the striped pattern aligns at the shoulder seam, the stitches for the front pieces are knitted alternately in base color and pattern color. Each side of the front is knitted separately with double-pointed needles and increases for the neck, before the front pieces are joined and knitted down to below the sleeves. The front and back pieces are joined and knitted in the round. Finally, stitches are knitted up for the sleeves and neck. The edges are knitted in stockinette stitch from the wrong side, folded double to the right side, and finished with a crochet hook.
