Valerie Blouse

The Valerie Blouse is knitted from the top down in one piece. The blouse is knitted back and forth like a cardigan with a diagonal opening at the front, which is finally closed with buttons. The yoke is constructed so that the sleeve increases are knitted first, followed by raglan increases. Short rows are knitted to shape the neckline. The sleeves are knitted in the round on double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop technique.

Make a gauge swatch to find the needle size that gives you the correct gauge. Wash the gauge swatch, as the recommended yarn may stretch during washing and wear.

Size Guide

The Valerie Blouse should have a negative ease of approx. -2 cm relative to your bust measurement. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished blouse are given on the front of the pattern (note that these measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained). Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit you best. If you, for example, measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit size S. A blouse in size S has a width of 89 cm and will, in the above example, provide a negative ease of -1 cm. Size chart available here.
