The shoulders and neckline are shaped using increases. Once the neckline has been shaped, it is knitted back and forth. Then the work is knitted in the round until it is divided for the slit, and the front and back pieces are knitted separately. The neckband can advantageously be knitted as soon as you have finished knitting your first ball of yarn. The stitches for the neckband are picked up along the opening at the top, which means you can knit the neckband as long as you want it.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eFit\u003cbr\u003eDarcy Cape is roomy, but drapes beautifully over the shoulders.
